Alienware is one of the most famous gaming laptop manufacturing companies. The company is known for producing above-average gaming laptops with excellent performance, design, and build. The Alienware m15 R3 is the new thin and light gaming laptop and it’s the successor to the Alienware m15 R2. The Alienware m15 R2 had some thermal issues, but this year it has been improved, along with other significant improvements. The Alienware m15 R3 comes in 15-inch and 17-inch models.

The base model for the Alienware m15 R3 costs $1,499, which you will get 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H, AMD Radeon RX 5500M with 4GB GDDR6, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. For $1,699, you will get a more powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card with 6GB VRAM. The Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 will a $100 upgrade. The most expensive option costs $4,059, which has 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 MAX-Q with 8GB VRAM, 32GB RAM, and 4TB SSD.

Alienware m15 R3 Performance and Temperature:

The Alienware m15 R3 is one heck of a beast. The performance of this particular machine is excellent. Thanks to the powerful CPU and GPU, and the improved thermal system, The Alienware m15 R3 pushes out excellent performance and very high frame rates in every AAA title. The thermal system has been significantly improved compared to the last year. The CPU now has a vapor chamber and the GPU has a standard heatpipe system. Although if you want lower temperatures, you can undervolt the CPU.

Alienware m15 R3 Display:

The display on the Alienware m15 R3 is a 15.6-inch 60Hz 4K panel. There’s also a Tobii Eyetracking technology on the display. There’s now a rubber trim around the display that absorbs the impact when you close the laptop. The color accuracy and brightness are excellent but the refresh rate doesn’t match the powerful components. You won’t get the extra frame rates which this machine can push out.

Alienware m15 R3 Overview:

Alienware m15 R3 is one heck of a gaming laptop in 2020. Alienware has made significant improvements compared to the last year’s model. This machine has one of the most powerful components out there. The thermal system is improved and the CPU has a now vapor chamber. The display is bright and color accurate but it’s capped at 60Hz. If you have got an unlimited budget and you want a good looking beast, the Alienware m15 R3 is your best bet.
